How do you summarize a year in just 700 characters? I can hardly summarize any given day with less than a kind of lengthy paragraph. As this year comes to a close, I try to think of how this particular spin round the sun fits within its larger narrative, elbow to elbow with the one just behind it, and the one now staring me down from a rather uncomfortably close distance. Near the beginning of this year I left my job, a job I once loved, in addiction medicine, in search of something that at least *felt* like growth - and now, here I am. Still growing. Still uncertain of what comes next. Still meeting each day with a smile on my face, a heart full of hope, and a mind still open to learning<3
